Yes I know. I grew up on this generation of ponies. I had just about every single Sea Pony,Pony and accessory on the market until my cousins from Wisconsin walked off with the Sea Pony Palace while I was away at girl guide summer camp.

Did you remember the 'Magic Sea shell'? They'll only come if you threw the magic sea shell in the ocean before jumping in!

They're based on Sea Horses so if you think these ladies are freaky go look up what a REAL Sea Horse looks like and get freaked on that.

A girlfriend of mine from my childhood had a sea water aquarium filled with unusual fishes and one of the inhabitants were a batch of sea horses. I always thought they looked creepy as hell.

Yeah some sea animals are kinda scary. Her biggest dream at the time? To have an Octopus in her tank not a huge one but a 'domestically raised' Octopus. For me my biggest dream was getting into Animation School or becoming a teacher. Well the Animation School didn't work out as my work was called 'amateurish' so I went to Teachers College then onto further Educational Studies then I taught in a local Elementary School for a few years until the government shut it down due to lack of enrollment.

I was in fourth when I applied to Elementary Animation School and yeah so my drawings were amateurish but I kept on sending in a portfolio over the years and by the time Senior Year of High School came along they were ready to accept me. Next step convincing mom and dad animation was a paying job not just a passing fancy: My sister Bethanny wanted to be a Patisserie so she went to Patisserie School, three years into that school she gets a letter in the mail stating that the school is unhappy with her performance and she has 90 days to ‘pull up her grades to a satisfactory point.‘ How might I inquire do you pull up grades in the 90‘s??

Bethy and I sat and looked over all her tests, papers and projects which were all marked at 70 or higher, next step speaking to her professors which was kinda fun.

When she came out and said "I got a letter in the mail from the Dean of the School stating that my grades are unacceptable and that I have 90 days to pull up my grades or I go on Academic Probation until such time as my grades improve." the looks were priceless they went from "WTF are you talking about Your grades are fine!‘ all the way to "No Freakin way are you failing ANYTHING! You have the highest grades in the class! I will take care of this right away before you get a failing grade in all your classes"

L-R: Seawinkle, Sealight and Wavedancer.

When I was a kid, I thought they were alternate Seapony versions of Bow Tie, Cotton Candy and Firefly, respectively. =P

My Aunt Barbie never understood My Little Pony. She's only in her 40's now and when I was a kid growing up she was only in her early twenties and acted like she was a senior citizen going to bed at eight o'clock right after Jeopardy, supper at five Sunday to Thursday and six p.m. Friday and Saturday. If it was Aunt Barbie's night to host the Bridge Game then we had supper at four thirty, bath at five and in bed and to be sound asleep by six thirty. Bridge started at seven sharp and ended at ten sharp.

So did I! I remember one time my parents came to pick us up at the arranged time: 4:45 P.M. on a Sunday. They pulled into the long round about drive way thinking that my brother and I were sitting on the porch with our duffel bags beside us waiting for them to come and take us back to the land of normality.

But when they finally reached the front door, the outside lights were on,all the lights in the house were off and no one was out around back, thinking we were inside waiting due to the rain that was coming down in buckets so they opened the foyer doors thinking 'okay it's raining cats and dogs outside so maybe they're inside waiting for us.'

Nope no one around in the foyer, no one in the living room so finally my dad says to my mom 'somethin's screwy with that sister of yours! Go back to the main entrance and constantly ring the door bell until SOMEONE comes!' My mom says 'Ring the doorbell? Do you KNOW how deep Barbara sleeps at night? Once she's asleep there aint nothing on earth in heaven or hell that can wake her or Dean until morning!'

So my dad decided that he wasn't about to wait until the next day when the storm would be even worse, walked all the way up stairs to the guest room where my brother and I were sleeping, opened the door and said 'You two ready to go back to the land of the living where no one goes to bed at three thirty on a Wednesday afternoon?' Were we ready? Of course we were!

Sure it was raining but come on! Really time for bed at 2:45 P.M.?! And yes in case your wondering Aunt Barbie and Uncle Dean WERE totally 100% out like a light the house could catch fire around them and burn down and they wouldn't know about it until the next morning when they wake up in the hospital.
